Karina Thomas graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1992 with a Masters in Constructed Textiles and has since worked as an artist, designer and lecturer across the field. She was a founding partner of Salt window treatments has worked with Clementine Blakemore Architects, Ford Motor Company, Tom Dixon, Portmerion Potteries, Arjo Wiggins, The International Colour Authority and Kappa Lambda Rugs and has had pieces commissioned for the British Embassy in Moscow. Karina currently has her practice at Black Swans Studio in Princes Risborough, where she runs textile workshops with her colleague Lisa Vaughan. www.blackswansstudio.co.uk

The Totem panels are hand framed knitted on a 12 gauge vintage Dubied knitting machine using fine OEKO certified mercerized cotton from a UK supplier. The new acoustic range uses Scottish lambswool which has been sustainably dyed on the banks of Loch Leven in Kinross.
